An enhanced version of Raytheon’s High Energy Laser Weapon System dubbed HELWS2 or H2 has been tested by the U.S. Air Force’s 704th Test Group.

The press release revealed that H2 has “ruggedized enhancements to ensure transportability and survivability in a wide range of operational environments, a new beam director for more accurate targeting, and a robust power system for additional magazine depth.”
