The 442 Transport and Rescue Squadron, based in 19 Wing Comox, British Columbia, made the last operational flight for the CC-115 Buffalo on Jan. 15.

As a final operational flight, the crew conducted a flight within Search and Rescue Region Victoria.
During the training exercise, Search and Rescue Technicians carried out jumps and parachuted emergency equipment from aircraft as the plane visited various locations around Vancouver Island.
Canada is replacing the CC-115 with the CC-295. 16 aircraft were ordered in 2016 and the first aeroplane was delivered in 2020.
