The Yomiuri Shimbun has reported that the U.S. government is keen to sell the Tomahawk cruise missile to Japan.

The newspaper says the cruise missile will be fired from the Mk 41 Vertical Launching System onboard Aegis warships of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
