MH-139A’s first rappelling ops

The U.S. Air Force carried out its first test of the rappelling system on the new MH-139A helicopter on Oct. 6.

F-22s rotating into Kadena air base, Japan as F-15Cs begin withdrawal

The U.S. Air Force will send approximately 12 F-22s to Kadena air base, Japan to replace the F-15Cs being stationed there, Japanese Defense Minister Yasukazu Hamada announced.

Australia selects C-130J for Project AIR 7404 Phase 1

The Royal Australian Air Force will continue to stick with the C-130J as the platform for its medium air mobility fleet.

U.S. plans to upgrade Tindal airbase, Australia in order to host B-52 bombers

The United States is planning to build a squadron operations facility, an apron to park six B-52 bombers and a maintenance facility at Tindal airbase in Northern Australia, the local media have reported.

Growler 515 back in the skies five years after being sidelined due to mid-air collision

A U.S. Navy EA-18G is back flying again five years after it was grounded after a mid-air collision.

NAVAL AIR STATION WHIDBEY ISLAND, Wash. (Oct. 28, 2022)– The team that refurbished EA-18G Growler 515, assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 129, poses with the aircraft at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NASWI).
