A new F-35A, #338, was delivered to Edwards Air Force Base on Aug. 1 for assignment with the 461st Flight Test Squadron (FLTS).

The Red Sales was a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) aerobatic team that was disbanded before its public debut. The team lost all its aircraft and six pilots during its fifth training flight on Aug. 16, 1962, sixty years ago.

MV-22B that crashed in Norway had deviated from the preplanned and authorized flight plan

The U.S. Marine Corps has determined that the crash of a MV-22B Osprey, call sign “Ghost 31”, in Norway on Mar. 18 was due to pilot error.

USN World War II ace from European and Pacific theaters has passed away

Dean “Diz” Laird, the only known U.S. Navy aces that scored aerial victories in the European and Pacific theaters during the Second World War has passed away on Aug. 10.
