The U.S. Air Force has initiated the process of retiring its JSTARS fleet with the first production aircraft delivered #92-3289 being sent to retirement at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.

MV-22B now capable of deploying sonobuoys
The MV-22B is now capable of deploying the SSQ-53G sonobuoy for anti-submarine warfare. The 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing says MAG-39 is developing tactics with assistance from the Navy’s HSM Weapons School Pacific.

Collins Aerospace to modify three C-130Js for TACAMO role
The U.S. Navy is replacing the E-6 with the C-130J for the TACAMO (Take Charge And Move Out) role. Collins Aerospace has been selected to do the engineering work for the airborne very low frequency communications systems.
