Philippines cancels PZL Swidnik contract for attack helicopters

Manila has decided to abandon a $73 million deal with PZL Swidnik for seven attack helicopters. A plan to buy combat utility helicopters for the Philippine Navy is put on hold as well.

A MiG-29K had to apply emergency brakes while landing at INS Hansa base in Goa due to hydraulic failure.

Taiwan carrys out live firing of 16 surface-to-air, air-to-air missiles

Taiwan tested 12 surface-to-air and 4 air-to-air missiles on Dec. 6. Only one Stinger fired by Taiwan Marine Corps failed to hit its target.
