Another MQ-9 Reaper crashes at Holloman

Holloman Air Force Base has lost another MQ-9 Reaper drone. This time the UAV from 29th Attack Squadron crashed on landing at approximately 5:35 p.m. on Oct. 27.

U.S., Australian military participate in Exercise Hamel in the ‘Land Down Under’

U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortresses supporting U.S. Pacific Command’s Continuous Bomber Presence in the Asia-Pacific region flew from Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, to the “Land Down Under’ to demonstrate the capability and flexibility of the Stratofortress to Australian military partners, as part of Exercise Hamel Oct. 8 through 18.

George H.W. Bush CSG sinks first ship

Sea and air assets assigned to the George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) Carrier Strike Group (CSG) successfully sunk the former U.S. Navy re-supply ship USNS Saturn (T-AFS 100) in a sinking exercise (SINKEX) in the Atlantic Ocean, Oct. 27.

Airmen train Iraqi air force T-6 instructor pilots

For the past six months, Iraqi Training and Advisory Mission-Air Force air advisers with the 52nd Expeditionary Flying Training Squadron have been training Iraqi pilots to become T-6 Texan II instructor pilots to rebuild the Iraqi air force.
