Lockheed Martin’s AN/TPQ-53 counter-battery radar has proven that besides detecting incoming artillery and rocket fire, the active electronically scanned array radar system can be used to detect unmanned aerial vehicles as well.

USMC wants to arm Avenger units with laser weapon

This September, the F-35 will attempt to take out threat with SM-6

This September, the U.S. Navy plans to conduct a live-fire test at at White Sands Missile Range whereby a F-35 provide sensor data in order for a SM-6 anti-air missile to destroy its target.

Russia successfully test-fired BMD interceptor in Kazakhstan

The Russian Aerospace Force successfully carried out a test-firing of the A-135 anti-ballistic missile interceptor from Sary-Shagan missile testing site in Kazakhstan at 07:00 hours Moscow Standard Time on Jun. 21.

Taiwan’s Aegis DDG concept

The Republic of China Navy was invited to a media event for the Kaohsiung International Maritime & Defence Expo 2016 on Jun. 20 and the senior leadership laid out their long-term shipbuilding plans. One of the concepts being proposed is a Aegis guided missile destoryer (DDG) to replace the Kidd-class.
