According to Chosuniblo, South Korea and the United States have decided to deploy the THAAD air defense system at Chilgok or Daegu in North Gyeongsang Province.

South Korea’s Ambassador to Beijing, Kim Jang-soo, was summoned by China’s Vice Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin on Feb. 7 to protest Seoul’s decision to start talks with Washington over the deployment of a THAAD unit in South Korea.
The new Pantsyr-S2 air defense system has been deployed to Syria. A Pantsyr-S1 was deployed to Humaymim airbase earlier.
