SM-3 Block IB failed during intercept, THAAD missile then successfully destroys target in terminal phase
The U.S. Missile Defense Agency (MDA) carried out a multiple engagement test in the vicinity of Wake Island on Nov. 1 and the plan was to have a SM-3 Block IB intercept an extended Medium Range Ballistic Missile (eMRBM) in the midcourse phase with a THAAD interceptor as a backup.

The ADIZ in South China Sea that you’ve never heard of
Ever since China established the East China Sea Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) in November 2013, the focus has been on the South China Sea where some analysts believe China will set up its second ADIZ. However, China was not the first country to do that. The Philippines has an ADIZ that covers part of the South China Sea for many years.

Japan completes PAC-3 deployment across the nation
Japan has successfully deployed all its PAC-3 air defense missile units across its islands. The last two units were deployed to Chitose base in Hokkaido.
