Japan Air Self Defense Force fighters have encountered a PLA KJ-200 AEW aircraft over East China Sea on Jul. 30. It is the first encounter of the early warning aircraft by Japanese warplanes.

South Korea has completed testing of the Cheongung or M-SAM air defense system and will deploy it by end of the year.
