Airbus selling its sensor business

Airbus Defense and Space is selling away its defense electronics division and Rheinmetall, Thales and Raytheon are expected to make a bid for the business.

U.S. Army engineers at Picatinny Arsenal has successfully developed a counter rockets, artillery and mortars (C-RAM) weapon using a 50mm version of the Bushmaster cannon.

British counter-MANPADS team training foreign governments

The British government has formed a counter-MANPADS team comprising of experts from the Royal Air Force, Scotland Yard and British Airways to teach foreign governments on how to prevent terrorists from shooting down airliners with shoulder-launched missiles.
