U.S. to test-fire Patriot air defense missile in Palau for the first time

The United States intends to test-fire the Patriot air defense missile system in Palau on Jun. 15, the island’s ambassador to Washington D.C. has disclosed.

Soldiers with 1st Battalion, 1st Air Defense Artillery Regiment, prepare for a missile reload evaluation at their forward-operating training site, Misawa Air Base, Japan Nov. 3, to demonstrate Air Defense tactical skill proficiency during Keen Sword. Keen Sword is a biennial joint and bilateral exercise involving the U.S. Military and Japan Self-Defense Forces, designed to enhance U.S.-Japan combat readiness and interoperability.

South Korea to boost its Patriot air defense missile capabilities

South Korea’s Defense Project Promotion Committee has approved a $605 million project to buy PAC-3 missile interceptors and upgrade its existing PAC-2 launchers so that it can launch the PAC-3 missiles.

U.S. Army gave Raytheon $624 million contract for FIM-92 Stinger missiles

The U.S. Army has awarded a $624 million contract to Raytheon on May 25 to procure the FIM-92 Stinger man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS).

OKINAWA, Japan – A U.S. Army Green Beret with 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), fires a training round with the Stinger Missile System during a field exercise hosted by the Marine Low Altitude Air Defense Unit on Sept. 9, 2021 at Okinawa, Japan. This realistic training familiarizes Green Berets with the portable air-defense system and gives them the ability to rapidly deploy it in diverse environments across the Indo-Pacific. Type 45 destroyers to get Maritime Ballistic Missile Defense capability

France deploys Aster 30 to Romania
