USAF F-16 Wild Weasels train with JGSDF surface-to-air missile batteries
Due to sequestration, F-16s from the 35th Fighter Wing in Misawa, Japan have been unable to practice Suppression of Enemy Air Defense (SEAD) during this year’s Red Flag exercises. Now, the Wild Weasels are getting SEAD training with help from Japan Ground Self-Defense Force.

Dempsey calls on Japan, South Korea to establish trilateral ballistic missile defense architecture
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey told the American Forces Press Service after his tour of Northeast Asia that Japan and South Korea should join the United States to “seek to establish a collaborative, trilateral ballistic missile defense architecture” using the three countries military assets.
