Spain to kick off Exercise Eagle Eye 25-3

Spain launched Exercise Eagle Eye 25-03 on Sept. 15, deploying six F-18 fighters, PATRIOT missile systems, and the frigate “Cristóbal Colón” in a four-day integrated air defense demonstration spanning the Canary Islands and Atlantic Ocean. The exercise tests rapid-response capabilities with 15-minute alert protocols while coordinating assets from all three military services under a unified command structure.

Atlantic Eagles: Japan to deploy F-15s to Canada, Germany, U.K and U.S.

The Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) will embark on its most ambitious trans-Atlantic deployment to date this week, launching the Atlantic Eagles friendly visit that will see approximately 180 personnel and eight aircraft operate across four allied nations in North America and Europe through Oct. 1.

Vance Air Force Base prepares for T-7A Red Hawk

The U.S. Air Force (USAF) is releasing its Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed recapitalization of the T-38C Talon flight training program at Vance Air Force Base (AFB) with the new T-7A Red Hawk aircraft. This Draft EIS, dated August 2025, has been provided for public comment.

A-10 makes final flight home to Hagerstown

After 46 years of military service spanning combat missions in Afghanistan and Iraq, a veteran Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt II “Warthog” will make its final flight this month, returning to the Maryland city where it was born.

China unveils nuclear-capable JL-1 air-launched ballistic missile at Victory Day Parade

China publicly displayed its JingLei-1 (JL-1) nuclear-armed air-launched ballistic missile for the first time during the Victory Day parade in Beijing on September 3, marking a significant milestone in the development of the country’s nuclear triad capabilities. The parade commemorated the 80th anniversary of the Allied victory in World War II.
