B-52H Ghost Rider is now operational
The B-52H bomber, #61-007, that was resurrected and flown out from The Boneyard in February, 2015 has completed its nine-month overhaul and upgrade at Tinker Air Force Base is now fully operational and has join the active strategic bomber fleet.

AFSOC has requested funding to demo laser weapon on AC-130W
Flight Global reports that the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command has requested funding in the FY 2018 defense budget for the modification of a AC-130W with a laser weapon.
