The Royal Air Force sent four Tornado GR4s to Syria in Britain’s first air strike mission against ISIL targets there. The jets struck the Omar oilfield. They were supported by a Voyager tanker and a MQ-9.

An anonymous government source told Reuters that RAF fighters, staged out of RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus, have completed their first air strikes in Syria and returned to base.
