New info reveals USAF general’s role in deescalating the 1983 War Scare

The U.S. government has declassified the Soviet “War Scare” report on the 1983 War Scare. New information revealed that retired Lt. Gen. Leonard Perroots, then assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence, U.S. Air Forces Europe, had acted out of his own instincts to stop the escalation of the crisis.

WSJ: Israel had planned to land commandos in Iran to blow up nuclear facility

According to Wall Street Journal, Israel told United States in 2012 that it has formulated a plan to bring its commandos into Iran using cargo planes and blow up the Fordow nuclear facility from inside.

Bulgaria, Poland inked MiG-29 repair contract

Bulgaria has officially taken up a MiG-29 maintenance contract offered by Poland. Bulgarian Minister of Defense Nikolay Nenchev inked the deal with Poland’s Minister of National Defense Tomasz Siemoniak in Warsaw on Oct. 22.
