The Secretary of the U.S. Air Force, Frank Kendall, has made a significant decision regarding the future of air operations at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base in Oklahoma. After carefully considering all options, Kendall has selected Will Rogers ANGB as the sole candidate location to replace its current fleet of MC-12 Liberty aircraft with the advanced AT-802U Sky Warden and to convert the MC-12 Formal Training Unit to the AT-802U Total Force Integration FTU.

A KC-135 tanker crew from the 171st Air Refueling Wing responded to an urgent request for fuel from a B-2 bomber on October 25, 2022. The KC-135, also known as Steel 51, was preparing to take off from Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City when they received the call. The B-2, call sign Fury 72, was low on fuel and needed to be refueled immediately.
