PACAF establishes integrated air and missile defense center
The U.S. Pacific Command now has an integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) capability when the Pacific Integrated Air and Missile Defense Center officially commenced operations on Oct. 1 in Hawaii.
RCAF tested CH-147F’s Arctic navigation capability
The Royal Canadian Air Force recently flew two CH-147Fs from Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Petawawa, Ontario, to Alert, Nunavut, and then to Iqaluit, on Baffin Island, Nunavut to test the aircraft’s ability to navigate in the Arctic region.
Italy sending 4 Tornados to Kuwait
Italian Defense Minister Roberta Pinotti said four Tornado fighter bombers along with 135 support staff will deploy to Ahmed Al Jaber air base in Kuwait for reconnaissance missions over Iraq.
