South Korea trying to resume air surveillance blimp project to counter N. Korean UAVs
The recent intrusion of UAVs from North Korea has exposed weaknesses in South Korea’s air defense umbrella and Seoul is trying to bring back an air surveillance blimp project to boost its coverage.
B-52s and B-2s conducted long range training operations
Two B-52s from Barksdale Air Force Base, La., and two B-2s from Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., recently flew non-stop from their home stations to training ranges in Hawaii and conducted range training operations and low approach training flights at Hickam AFB.
