Cornyn places hold on Obama nominee over Taiwan F-16 issues

Unhappy with the Obama administration’s response to his requests for more information
on the sale of F-16s to Taiwan. U.S. Sen. John Cornyn has placed a hold on the nomination of Mark Lippert to become the assistant secretary of defense for Asian and Pacific security affairs.

India inducts Mi-17V5

India on Friday formally inducted the Mi-17V5 helicopter. The 155 Helicopter Unit will operate them from Bhatinda.

Indonesian Air Force wish to expand fighter fleet

The Indonesian Air Force chief told Aviation Week that he wants to expand the number of combat aircraft to around 150-200 under 12 squadrons. The most immediate requirement is to replace its F-5s.
