F-16 training area at Holloman AFB expanded by 93%

The training airspace east of Holloman Air Force Base has expanded by 93 percent on Oct. 7. The move will benefit F-16 B-course pilots at the base.

Talon military operations area is expanded by over 2,000 square miles in southeast New Mexico, Oct. 7, 2021. The expansion is the result of a 10 year effort of coordination to reconfigure existing airspace and establish new airspace that will improve training capabilities for F-16 Viper student pilots. There was an attempt to hijack a commercial flight during the evacuation from Kabul

Five people who were onboard a commercial flight that was flying out of Kabul, Afghanistan had attempted to hijack the aircraft.

F-15C B-course students chair-fly using VR kit before stepping into the jet

The F-15E has a new bunker buster, the GBU-72

The F-15E has a new bunker buster added to its arsenal, the GBU-72 Advanced 5K Penetrator. The new weapon was tested at the Eglin Air Force Base range by the 96th Test Wing.
