The F-35A has completed its final flight test exercise to drop the B61-12 nuclear bomb. The demonstration was carried out using the B61-12 Joint Test Assemblies (JTAs).
The 48th Fighter Wing reactivated the 495th Fighter Squadron at exactly 8:49 and 50 seconds on Oct. 1. The 495th will be the first F-35A squadron for U.S. Air Forces in Europe.

The U.S. government has approved the sale of one Boeing EA-18G electronic attack jet to Australia. This new jet will replace A46-311 that was lost in an accident at Nellis Air Force Base on Jan. 27, 2018.
The 41st Rescue Squadron officially retired its HH-60G rescue helicopter on Sept. 29. The unit will transition to the HH-60W Jolly Green II.
