F-15E touch down on taxiway

In a bold demonstration of adaptability, an F-15E Strike Eagle from the 366th Operations Group of the United States Air Force successfully landed on a taxiway instead of the designated runway at Mountain Home Air Force Base on Feb. 21st. This unorthodox maneuver marked the culmination of Phase One of Operation Garrison Forward, a two-part exercise designed to test the 366th Fighter Wing’s ability to operate under austere conditions.

Saab eyes expanded Philippine fighter deal, touts Gripen’s suitability

The Philippines is considering significantly expanding its fighter jet program, potentially acquiring more than the previous requirement for 12 aircraft, according to an interview with a Saab official. This development could open the door for a wider range of contenders, including Saab, as a new tender process is expected to be launched.

Philippines eyes Swedish Gripen as top contender for Multi-role Fighter Acquisition

Merlin bringing uncrewed flight capabilities to USAF’s KC-135

Merlin, a leading developer of autonomous flight technologies, has inked a deal with the U.S. Air Force (USAF) to explore the integration of uncrewed flight capabilities into the KC-135 Stratotanker. This marks a significant step forward in the development of uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) for military applications, particularly in the critical domain of aerial refueling.
