First flight of Brazilian Gripen E

The first export Gripen E, 39-6001, has flown for the first time on Aug. 26. To be delivered to Brazil, the jet flew from Linköping, Sweden for 65 minutes with test pilot Richard Ljungberg at the controls.

Boeing delivers its last C-17 to India

The last C-17 to be produced by Boeing has been delivered to India on Aug. 26. The Indian Air Force’s C-17 strength is now at 11 aircraft.

HAL to slash price of LCA

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is reported to have slashed the price of each Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) from $62.9 million to as low as $34.9 million each.

USAF RC-135 crew had to be sent to Britain to train on RC-135 simulators

The recent flooding at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska has affect crew training there, Gen. Mike Holmes, head of Air Combat Command, has disclosed.
