Philippines to buy 3 C-130J-30 tranports

In a significant development for the Philippine Air Force (PAF), the Department of National Defense (DND) of the Philippines has issued a Notice to Proceed for the acquisition of three Lockheed Martin C-130J-30 “Super Hercules” aircraft. These brand-new aircraft are set to bolster the PAF’s tactical and transport capabilities, marking a pivotal moment in the nation’s defense strategy.

Stratolaunch collaborates with U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory for Hypersonic flight test

Stratolaunch, LLC, a leading aerospace company, has announced a significant partnership with the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to support the upcoming maiden flight test of their second reusable cutting-edge Talon-A hypersonic test vehicle, TA-3.

Stratolaunch’s Roc and Talon-A 1 (TA-1) are positioned outside as an integrated system during a propulsion system test for the TA-1 hypersonic vehicle on Aug. 19, 2023.

U.S. clears transfer of 24 F-16s to Argentina

The U.S. State Department has cleared the transfer of 24 F-16s from Denmark to Argentina. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Regional Security in the State Department, Mira Resnick, delivered the letter approving the transfer to Jorge Argüello, Argentina’s ambassador to United States on Oct. 11.

319th Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron shifting to Okinawa, Japan

In a strategic relocation, the U.S. Air Force’s 19th Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron is moving its MQ-9 Reaper drones from Kanoya Air Base in Kyushu to Kadena Air Base in Okinawa. The move marks a significant shift in regional reconnaissance capabilities and underscores the strong collaboration between the U.S. and Japan.

KANOYA, Japan (Nov. 5, 2022) An MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted aircrafts, assigned to the 319th Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron on Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Kanoya Air Base, taxis on the flight line during a demonstration flight, Nov. 5, 2022. U.S. Pacific Air Forces is deploying MQ-9 Reapers, a medium-altitude, long-endurance remotely piloted aircraft, and personnel to Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Kanoya Air Base to conduct airborne reconnaissance operations in close coordination with the Japan Ministry of Defense.
