The first dogfight between two defending Israeli F-4s and 28 attacking Egyptian Mig-17s and Mig-21s over at Israeli Air Force Base Ofir on the first day of the Yom Kippur War was caught on film by a family who were having a picnic at Sharem beach. The footage is available on Youtube.
