Airbus ordered to pay $126 million to Taiwan

Airbus acknowledged on Jan. 13 that its subsidiary Matra Défense S.A.S. has been ordered to pay an arbitral award of $126 million to Taiwan for breach of contract in the supply of missiles to the island.

T-50THs grounded after hitting turbulent weather; landed at RMAF Kuantan

A report by Thai PBS says the two T-50THs being delivered to Thailand this week have been grounded for checks after they went into turbulent weather during the ferry flight across South China Sea.

Russian fighters to practice operating from highway

Russia’s Southern Military District has started its first training exercise for 2018 at the Kuban and Rostov regional airports and a spokesperson said fighters will land on a stretch of the Rostov Region highway next week.

Turkey wants to train its pilots in South Korea

Gen. Lee Wang-keun, South Korea’s chief of air force, is on a trip to turkey and Yonhap said that he will discuss Turkey’s request to train its pilot in South Korea.

USAF’s first EA-18G pilot

Mountain Home Air Force Base announced today that 1st Lt. Kevin Martin has completed his transition to the Boeing EA-18G. Making him the first in the U.S. Air Force to do so.
