Jordan lost a AH-1 attack helicopter on Apr. 26 during a training mission in the Al Ghabawi area, eastern Amman. The pilot and gunner were able to evacuate successfully from the wreckage.

The 388th Fighter Wing and 419th FW from Hill Air Force Base have deployed eight F-16s to Spain for the NATO Tactical Leadership Programme at Albacete Air Base. This is the last time F-16s from Hill are being deployed overseas.

Retired Lt. Col. Dale Cooke flew for the Thunderbirds from 1979 to 1982. Recently, he went to the 2nd Fighter Training Squadron and flew on T-38A , #68-177, again. The aircraft was the last operational unmodified T-38A Cooke flew with the Thunderbirds.
