Boeing gets $3.4 billion contract for new and remanufactured AH-64Es
It was good news for the Boeing folks at Mesa, Arizona as the U.S. Army has awarded a five-year, $3.4 billion contract to the company for 244 remanufactured Apache E models and 24 new ones.

Lockheed Martin poised to deliver 60kW Laser to U.S. Army
Lockheed Martin announced it is ready to deliver a 60 kW-class beam combined fiber laser to the U.S. Army. A demonstration earlier this month saw the system producing a single beam of 58 kW, a world record for this type of technology.

AN/TPY-2 to be in South Korea soon
South Korean media are reporting that THAAD air defense missile system’s main senor, the AN/TPY-2 X-band radar, is expected to arrive in the country soon.
Kiowa dedicated to fallen warrior
The helicopter static display at Hunter Army Airfield now contains a OH-58D and this aircraft has been dedicated to Chief Warrant Officer 3 James Groves III who died when his Kiowa crashed near Kandahar, Afghanistan on Mar. 16, 2013.
