U.S. Army bought APKWS for use in Afghanistan, Iraq

Iran test-fired new ballistic missile in defiance of nuclear accord

Iran on Oct. 11 test-fired a new long-range ballistic missile, named Emad. This is the first such test by Iran since it signed a nuclear accord with six world powers in July.

1-3 reflags as 3-17

The 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Aviation Regiment cased its colors at Hunter Army Airfield and the soldiers were re-flagged as 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment on Oct. 7.
