Australian Tiger attack helicopters in Papua New Guinea for exercise

Australia’s Tiger attack helicopters have deployed to Papua New Guinea for an exercise with the local military’s Air Transport Wing at Jackson’s Airport, Port Moresby from Aug. 16 to Sept. 7.

Pentagon planning for 90 UAV orbits a day by 2019

A Pentagon spokesman told reporters that the U.S. military plans to have 90 orbits by unmanned aircraft each day in four years’ time.

Morocco’s three CH-47Ds arrived home

U.S. will withdraw Patriot missile battery from Turkey too

The United States will withdraw its Patriot missile battery deployed in Turkey this October for “critical modernization upgrades,” a joint Turkish-U.S. statement said.

Two JGSDF special forces members injured in the Black Hawk crash off Okinawa

Seven people were injured when a U.S. Army Black Hawk crashed off Okinawa on Aug. 12, amongst those injured where two members of a Japan Ground Self-Defense Force team specializing in counter-terrorism operations.
