A Royal Thai Army Black Hawk helicopter ferrying the commander of the 4th Army Region, Lt. Gen. Kriangkrai Srirak, was forced to make a crash landing in a rubber plantation in Thepha district on Jul. 15.

The White House has announced that President Biden will award the Medal of Honor to four U.S. Army Soldiers who fought in the Vietnam War: Staff Sergeant Edward N. Kaneshiro (posthumous), Specialist Five Dwight W. Birdwell, Specialist Five Dennis M. Fujii, and retired Major John J. Duffy. The award ceremony will be held on Jul. 5.
