The U.S. Army’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) has come out to say that it was one of their MH-47G helicopter that caught fire while at NAS North Island.

Medevac crew chief is among four new recipients of Medal of Honor
The White House has announced that President Biden will award the Medal of Honor to four U.S. Army Soldiers who fought in the Vietnam War: Staff Sergeant Edward N. Kaneshiro (posthumous), Specialist Five Dwight W. Birdwell, Specialist Five Dennis M. Fujii, and retired Major John J. Duffy. The award ceremony will be held on Jul. 5.
