NORAD testing JLENS in Washington D.C. area

NORAD is bringing Raytheon’s JLENS platform to the Washington D.C. area by Sept. 30. Michael Kucharek, a spokesman for NORAD, said: “We’re trying to determine how the surveillance radar information from the JLENS platforms can be integrated with existing systems in the National Capital Region.”

Dutch Patriot missile battery in Turkey operational

A Dutch Patriot missile battery based in the Turkish city of Adana became operational over the weekend. Five more units from U.S. and Germany are expected to be online in the next few days.
