A BQM-167 target drone was shot down with a Hyper Velocity Projectile (HVP) fired from a M109 Paladin howitzer on Sept. 3 during the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) demonstration.

The CH-53K has undergone extensive developmental testing that utilized the degraded visual environment (DVE) test course at U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) for more than two years, most recently to verify software updates in the flight control software that have been made as a result of this testing.

Boeing has delivered the first MH-47G Block II helicopter to the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM). The 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) will be the first unit to operate the new Chinook.
