Night Stalkers’ MH-60 crashes in Iraq; one U.S. service member killed

A MH-60 flown by the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment – Night Stalkers – has crashed in Iraq on Aug. 19 after conducting a partnered small-scale raid on Islamic State militants.

1-285th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion disbanded

The 1-285th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion of the 98th Aviation Troop Command was retired during a casing of the colors ceremony at the Western National Guard Aviation Training Site on Aug. 4.

The 1-285th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion of the 98th Aviation Troop Command was retired during a casing of the colors ceremony at the Western National Guard Aviation Training Site here on Saturday Aug. 4, at 10 a.m. The guideon of the 1-285th is officially encased to signify the retirement of the battalion.
