Eurocopter, Turbomeca and WZL 1 to establish two full assembly lines for Poland’s military helicopter acquisition

Eurocopter and Turbomeca have signed an agreement with Poland’s Wojskowe Zaklady Lotnicze No. 1 (WZL-1) for two separate full assembly lines within Poland for the EC725 Caracal helicopter and its Makila 2 turboshaft engines in a bid to win the tender for 70 new multi-role helicopters.

PLAAF general: Poor industrial foundation, lack of innovation obstructing development of fighters

In an interview with South China Morning Post, Maj. Gen. Zhu Heping, vice-president of the PLAAF Command Academy, said a weak foundation in building sophisticated machinery and a lack of innovation are major obstacles for China’s fighter development.
