Thales unveils mobile air defence gun system

Thales is unveiling its RAPIDFire mobile air defence gun system at Eurosatory12. RAPIDFire combines the CONTROLMaster 60 surveillance radar with the CONTROLView command and control module. These are integrated with the multi-sensor stabilised optronic sighting system and the CT40 gun from CTAI.

USAF solicit industry for High Speed Strike Weapon

H/T to Wired. The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate, Contracting Division wants to have a demonstration for a Mach 5+ velocity weapon capable of fixed and mobile targets.

Lockheed Martin hopes to sell first Vigilant Watch kit in 15 months

Lockheed Martin has produced a Vigilant Watch kit consisting of a modified fuel tank fitted with electro-optical camera and sensors mounted on the C-130’s wing hard-point. It hopes to sell the kit to a customer within 15 months.
