The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has expressed keen interest in acquiring advanced military equipment, particularly the Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) MK III, developed by Indian defense firms. This intent was highlighted during a recent visit by a five-member PCG delegation to New Delhi, India. Led by PCG Commandant Admiral Artemio Manalo Abu, the delegation engaged in a bilateral meeting with the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) to explore opportunities for enhanced maritime cooperation.

Dassault aviation bolsters Indonesia’s air defense with second tranche of 18 Rafale jets

In a significant development, Dassault Aviation has announced the activation of the second tranche of a contract signed with Indonesia in February 2022. This contract entails the acquisition of 42 Rafale aircraft, with the latest tranche comprising 18 Rafale jets. This follows the earlier activation of the first tranche in September 2022, which consisted of 6 Rafale aircraft. With this, the total number of Rafale aircraft on order by Indonesia reaches 24.

Indonesia to buy 12 Turkish drones

Indian Air Force considers A400M, C-130J, and C395 for Medium Transport Aircraft Replacement

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is currently evaluating proposals for a Medium Transport Aircraft (MTA) to replace its aging fleet of transport planes. The Request for Information (RFI) issued by the IAF seeks a capable MTA with a carrying capacity ranging from 18 to 30 tonnes. The deadline for submissions was extended recently to accommodate potential contenders. Among the aircraft vying for this critical contract are the A400M, C-130J, and C395.
