Indian Air Force considers A400M, C-130J, and C395 for Medium Transport Aircraft Replacement

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is currently evaluating proposals for a Medium Transport Aircraft (MTA) to replace its aging fleet of transport planes. The Request for Information (RFI) issued by the IAF seeks a capable MTA with a carrying capacity ranging from 18 to 30 tonnes. The deadline for submissions was extended recently to accommodate potential contenders. Among the aircraft vying for this critical contract are the A400M, C-130J, and C395.

Leonardo unveils next phase of upgrades for Eurofighter Typhoon’s Defensive Aids Sub-System

Leonardo, the Italian aerospace and defense company, has unveiled the next phase of upgrades for the Eurofighter Typhoon’s Defensive Aids Sub-System (DASS). These upgrades, proposed for the Eurofighter four-nation Phase 4 Enhancement (P4E) package, are set to significantly enhance the aircraft’s survivability capabilities. Furthermore, these upgrades will also be made available for export customers, extending the reach of this cutting-edge technology.

Boeing receives final CH-47F Block I contract for deliveries to South Korea and Spain

South Korea has recently finalized a significant contract with Boeing, the renowned U.S. defense giant. The agreement entails the acquisition of 18 CH-47F Block I Chinook helicopters, further solidifying South Korea’s commitment to modernizing its fleet and strengthening its defense capabilities. In addition to South Korea’s order, the Pentagon’s Foreign Military Sale (FMS) contract also includes the purchase of one CH-47F Chinook helicopter for Spain, augmenting their own fleet. This procurement marks a crucial milestone in South Korea’s military aviation pursuits, while also benefiting Spain’s aerial capabilities.
