The Philippine Air Force is hoping to acquire 36 FA-50PH fighter jets from KAI, a senior PAF officer told Jane’s.
The official said the procurement is needed “to meet a requirement specified in Flight Plan 2028 to “detect, intercept, and neutralise” any perceived threat in its exclusive economic zone (EEZ).”
The first flight of the Yak-152 took place on Sept. 29 at the airfield of Irkutsk Aviation Plant, United Aircraft Cooperation announced.
The probe by India’s Central Bureau of Investigation found that Embraer had paid $5.5 million to a middle man to swing the contract to the latter’s favor in the Defence Research and Development Organisation’s (DRDO) Airborne Early Warning and Control System (AEWACS) project.
