India is expected to sign a deal for 36 Dassault Rafale fighters this week after the Cabinet Committee on Security, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, cleared the inter-governmental agreement (IGA) with France.

The U.S. government has approved the sale of four Boeing KC-46A aerial refueling tankers to Japan and the Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress on the decision on Sept. 21. The estimated cost is $1.9 billion.
