VMFA-214 F-35Bs visit hometown of fighter ace Gregory “Pappy” Boyington

Four U.S. Marine Corps F-35Bs from VMFA-214 made a quick stop at Coeur d’Alene Airport on Jun. 17. Coeur d’Alene is the hometown of World War II ace Gregory “Pappy” Boyington, who was also the commanding officer of VMF-214 during the war.

Civilian aircraft collision with Osprey sparks $5.7 Million lawsuit by U.S. Government

The mission, which took place on May 9 in the Philippine Sea, highlights the Marine Corps’ essential role in supporting naval operations and strengthening regional security.

During Exercise Balikatan 2023 in the Philippines, the U.S. Marine Corps deployed its Sensing Expeditionary Advanced Base (Sensing EAB) in the country for detection, and subsequent targeting, of enemy forces.
