U.S. Marine aviation deaths hit 5-year high

This year, 18 U.S. Marines have lost their lives in aircraft mishaps so far. This figure is at a five-year high with three months to go before the end of the year.

Marine killed in hard landing by CH-53

A HMH-464 CH-53 made a hard landing at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina on Sept. 2, one Marine was killed and eleven others injured in the accident.

USMC KC-130J refuels Spanish Eurofighters

A USMC C-130J crew with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response-Africa coordinated an aerial refueling mission with five Spanish Air Force Eurofighters on Aug. 13.

For the first time, USMC will have female LAAD gunners

Four enlisted female U.S. Marines will create history when they graduate from the Low Altitude Air Defense Gunner’s (LAAD) Course 3-15, becoming the first to break into the all-male Military Occupational Specialty (MOS).

Cubic to develop ACMI subsystem for F-35
