Cost of upgrading F-35 reduced by $920 million

The Pentagon projected that it will only have to spend $1.65 billion instead of $2.57 billion to upgrade and fix problems found on early production batches of the F-35.

Lockheed Martin found solution for F-35B bulkhead cracks

Lockheed Martin has come up with a solution to fix bulkhead cracks on the F-35B. U.S. Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, Frank Kendall, said the process to fix the problem on existing jets will need to be certified.
