The city of Beaufort will welcome the arrival of Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort’s first F-35 squadron, VMFAT-501, on Jul. 11.
Reuters reported that the F-35 program office is expected to issue a directive for all F-35s to be inspected.

The US Marine Corps wants to equip its RQ-21 with a heavy fuel engine and to fund that upgrade program, it has requested that the U.S. Congress allow it to shift $18.75 million from its RQ-7B program.
