Sikorksy S-92 is winner of VXX Presidential Helicopter contest

In a Pentagon contract announcement on May 7, Sikorsky has been awarded $1.24 billion to provide six S-92s for the VXX Presidential Helicopter program.

CH-53K named King Stallion

The Sikorsky CH-53K will be named King Stallion, U.S. Marine Corps Gen. F. Amos announced during the rollout ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida on May 5.

Sikorsky begins powered ground tests of CH-53K with rotor blades

All seven main rotor blades and four tail rotor blades for the Sikorsky CH-53K heavy lift helicopter were attached to the Ground Test Vehicle (GTV) and powered on for the first time.
