HMLA-269 trains in Colorado to prepare for upcoming winter exercise in Norway

HMLA-269 has been invited to participate in exercise Cold Response in Norway and the unit is now training in Colorado in order to prepare the Marines to operate in cold and high-altitude climate.

F-35Bs cross-decked from HMS Queen Elizabeth to USS Essex

F-35Bs from VMFA-211 cross-decked from HMS Queen Elizabeth to the amphibious assault ship USS Essex on Nov. 8 while both ships were in the Gulf of Oman.

GULF OF OMAN (Nov. 8, 2021) F-35B Lightning II attached to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 211, deployed with the British Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth, lands on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) during an interoperability exercise with Queen Elizabeth, Nov. 8.
